Spanish/Patois/English Female MC LADYFI

This young lady is a rapper from Colon, Panama. Colon is bloody rough, and I don't recommend that any visit you make extend beyond the tourist center at the cruise ship port. You can easily find yourself in gang territory (as in Bloods & Crips), and subject to Gringo-hating hustlers & thieves.

Panama is a country of total contradictions. It is both beautiful and ugly. It is both rich & poor, it is .....well you get the point.

Colon is on the Caribbean coast of Panama, and like other Latin American cities on the Caribbean coast, the people there are 99% black (as in Negro unmixed) and typically speak three languages: Spanish (colonial language, thanks to Christopher Columbus-Colon...yes that's where the name comes from..) English  (the Black people came via Jamaica in the 1800's to Panama to work on the numerous banana plantations on the coast of Panama in Bocus Province, and Jamaicans were colonised by the British) and Patois (which is broken English (heavily influenced by Irish, Scottish & West Country pirate/master twang) and bits of Yoruba, Twe & Ga - West African languages...this is how Jamaicans plantation workers i.e. slaves spoke).

In America & Europe we only ever see white skinned Latinas, but the truth is the majority of Latinas look like this lady in the video above. She is referred to as a Negra...a black woman. Not an offensive term, purely descriptive. We Westerners cannot understand that, the mere mention of a racial term makes us want to string each other up. It is what it is.

These countries & cities have major (if not majority) black populations:
  • Venezuela (in particular Caracas, Puerto La Cruz, Maturin, Bolivar, San Cristobal)
  • Colombia (Very Black - Cartagena, Barranquilla, Santa Marta, Medellin, Cali, Choco )
  • Brazil (Sao Paulo, Salvador, Rio, etc etc)
  • Panama (Colon, Boco del Toro Island & region, Changuinola, Darien region (please do not attempt to go to Darien without a tourist group which is protected by the policia, otherwise you may end up missing), All of Panama City (caution) & sections of Chiriqui province (bliss, they wanted independance but never got it, hence they see themselves as superior anyway..very safe)
  • Costa Rica (Cauhita in Puerto Limon - my favourite place in the whole world - & Puerto Viejo)
  • Nicaragua (Bluefields etc...)
  • Honduras (la Ceiba - where Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopez's Hoger De Amor Children's orphanage is)
  • Peru & Bolivia have smaller black populations
Okay, there ends your Central American & South American semi-geography lesson.
    Enjoy the video!!!

    Nicaragua - A Nation's Right To Survive

Background: There has been renewed fascination with Nicaragua for a couple of years now by the Western media.

A friend wanted to travel to Managua (West) and Bluefields (East on the Caribbean coastline). Bluefields is another story in itself.....

A friend travelled to a small Colombian Island (try and guess which one), and was surprised to learn that it was closer to Nicaragua than Colombia. The beautiful little island is (and has been) subjected to ownership claims by both countries. It is just off the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua.

There are no direct flights from Nicaragua to the island/s (one main island & several smaller ones). One has to fly from Colombia (Santa Marta or Barranquilla for the shortest flights) or Panama, to get to the island. The island has an immense tourist industry which is administered by the Colombian government in Bogota.

Since 1970 there has been talk of petroleum under the island/s.

I mention all of this because Nicaragua is the poorest country in the entire region of Central & South America & The Caribbean after Haiti. If Nicaragua could gain from the tourism revenue from the island that literally sits in their lap, then that would be a major thing for the Nico's (Nico's is how they refer to themselves, just like the Costa Ricans refer to themselves as Ticos).

Colombia has Cartagena (major tourist port & city), Santa Marta (major national & international tourist port & city), Cali (major and renowned for the music & dancing that emanates from this city) and countless other beaches (playas) for citizens, residents & visitors.

Video: Is about the threat of Communism in Nicaragua, and the US role in what essentially is a very poor, stagnant but stark & beautiful country in Central America. The Nico's are apathetic and stoic, and this video shows you some of the reasons why this is so.

Thankfully Nicaragua does not share the horrid problems of it's neighbours in El Salvador & Honduras. But that is entirely another subject (not for the faint hearted) for another time.

    Brazilian Bottom.

Right, according to the Daily Mail, one of the biggest no no's of the summer goes to thongs & the wearers thereof. I am not sure about that because lads love to see a bit of arse from time to time. I good thong also shows of ones regions and assists in getting an even tan.

This is a Brazilian booty in the pic, but I am sure you knew that.

    #Teamthong !

    Chris Bosh & His Chica.

Actually, I don't really know much about him, but I read something by another blogger (Sandra Rose) who was harping on about what a 'sellout' this bloke is. I guess the blogger and her readers were referring to his choice of women, and his wife, as they said that she is white.

Well look. If Chris, or any other black bloke for that matter, wants to date a woman from another race, then that is entirely his affair. He has not said anything negative about black women. So I don't get what the problem is.

Furthermore, his wife is a Venezuelan and is classified in her country as a 'Morena' or even a 'Negra' because she comes from the barrios and thus a poor background. South America has an assortment of colours, and people are not segregated like in the United States. The only thing that divides people is cold hard $. If you have money you are treated well, and if your poor, then God help you.

People need to get a life and leave guys like Chris Bosh alone.

Skinny Brazilian Chica: Gisele Super Model

I don't even know how her name is spelt, and I don't really care.
Gisele is a girl from snooty upper class Brazil, who has managed to colonise the 'curvy' market in the modelling world. As you can see she is far from 'curvy' (whatever that means) and she looks like a European woman, as opposed to a hot Brazilian chica from the barrios of Sao Paolo or Rio.
Neither am I fond of her supermom claims and advice re shedding weight after childbirth etc. She thinks too highly of herself due to gay designers & fashion gods fawning over her skinny blanco ass, and I certainly, have never heard of a woman who wants to look like this piece of birch.
She is an ass, without an ass.

2010 South American World Cup Qualifiers: Colombia

A scrumptious guy and I were 'conversating' today and we had a good old laugh about the nutters masquerading as professional footballers in The World Cup (unfortunately he did not want to talk about anything else...). So, I had a dig around Youtube, and came up with this super video which is a great demonstration of real football. watch the Colombians make their superb goal (England take note). South Americans take the sport seriously, which is why Brazil will win!

Angel: Angelina Jolie talks to Colombian Refugees in Ecuador.

Angelina has visited with Afro-Colombian refugees in Ecuador. She is a brave soul because the area she was in is rife with drug smugglers, kidnapping internal terrorists (FARC), and other undesirables. This was a highly dangerous trip and kudos to her for making it. Angelina has also highlighted the presence of black Colombians, and why they had to scarper to a border country in South America. I love this lady because she does things like this.

By the way, black people live in Cali, Cartegena, Medellin, Barranquilla & Choco & the cute tourist island of San Andreas (near Nicaragua). These are all small towns & cities in Colombia. Blacks have been in Colombia since the 16th century, and there are more of them there than African-Americans in the USA!
