Mashonda's Death Of A Mermaid.

So, I just read the interview with Mashonda, Swizz Beat's former wife, and I must say, it is heartbreaking.

The tone of the interview was quite upbeat and contains lessons for people to learn in terms of love, marriage, affairs, children, divorce & moving on.

However, she provides information on the last days/months of her marriage and it clear to see the Swizz was carrying on with that Alicia regardless of the near breakdown his wife was having (caused by his behaviour).

He lied in interviews about Mashonda not wanting him to have contact with his other child. A child that he had during their relationship and while she was actually pregnant with their 1st child. In other words this creep had two women pregnant at the same time, and now he is carrying on like a saint with Alicia Keys.

You cannot fight love, but I think this man was/is a selfish bastard, and like other selfish gits he makes up excuses for his behaviour. Why do cheating men never accept responsibility for their actions?...It is always someone else's fault.

The most poignant part of the interview (in Vibe Magazine, you will notice that I swiped the pictures from Vibe) is where Mashonda explains the reason for the title of her new novel/autobiography. She explains that when they moved into their luxury mansion (formally owned by HRH Madonna) they had to choose tiles for the bottom of the swimming pool. Mashonda decided to have a mermaid (very symbolic) in her image at the bottom of the pool. This beautiful tiled mermaid symbolised her beauty & her happiness, and the beauty of her home & marriage. When their marriage faltered and Swizz moved out, he stopped paying the pool bills. So weeds grew at the bottom of the pool, and it became a swamp. Mashonda can no longer see herself (as it were) at the bottom of the pool. Therefore the Mermaid is Dead. The Book is entitled 'Death of a Mermaid'.

The symbolism and metaphor is awesome and striking. I will be purchasing her book, and Swizz Beats & Alicia keys can kiss my fat & wide British arse.

Sexy War Widow: Blonde Mourns.

Her name is Mrs Kilpatrick, and her husband is Jamie Kilpatrick a Corporal of the 101 Engineer Regiment in the UK Armed Forces. His was killed during the Afghan campaign and his body was returned via an RAF base in Wiltshire yesterday, his burial was today.

I have to pause just a second, just to give thanks for his life, and the lives of countless other British & US & International servicemen & women who have given their lives for freedom. I have nothing but the utmost respect for these men & women. They fight for us while we bitch & moan about mundane crap. Their lives are on the line everyday, just for us.

The beautiful widow is dressed in rose pink. Her dress is suitably sexy & simple. Just looking at her is absolutely heartbreaking. Her face, her demeanor, her strength and her love for her husband shows clearly in the pictures.

She is a modern day war widow, I hope God eases her heart.
