Firstly, let me say that I am so sorry for the loss of your out-of-this-world, multi-talented son Michael Jackson. I know the weakening frustration, intense love, wonderful charm, stark beauty and everything else involved in having a child, and especially a highly intelligent son.
However, I have observed (at least through the media) your compliance with the highly publicised behaviour(s) Micheal was involved in.
When he bleached his skin to that degree, did you step in? Did you ask him what the problems were? Did you ask him why he felt so ugly & insecure that he had to disfigure the face that Jehovah blessed him with. Isn't surgery prohibited under your religion? Didn't your pastor/leader talk to him?
When he played with children, as a grown man, didn't you say 'Now, Michael...this is odd dear' ? When he befriended women outside of his race, did you ever ask 'What about the lovely girl Whitney..she's single?'....
We as women, as mothers, DO have the power to step in and change the fabric of our kids lives.
Yes we have so much crap to deal with, and yes we need a little comfort & loving ourselves...but we always make time (at least we should) to correct our children ...no matter how old they are.
I love you because you produced an Icon. He came from you.
Musically, Michael Jackson will always be billions of peoples' icon....but Kathy, the boy had some BIG issues.
My love to your adopted grand-kids, and say hi to Marlon *blush*, who I have always taken a shine to.
Much Love,
British Bells xxx
